Q

You’ve Got to Act

A

“The best men are not those who have waited for chances but who have taken them; besieged chance, conquered the chance, and made chance the servitor” - E. H. Chapin.

Too many fear starting and find excuses like “I lack the experience”, and wait around for better opportunities. Those who defy the odds on the other hand are the ones who start. They act. To overcome always procrastinating, remember this: You’ve got to act. And you’ve got to start now. Obstacles won’t fix themselves, only your acting will help solve your obstacles in life. You won’t regret acting and trying to fix a problem, and the obstacles will make you stronger by either overcoming them or learning when failing to overcome them. Courage is to take action, especially when the perfect conditions aren’t met, but where you still try and give it a shot. When you start acting, momentum will follow and it’s important to stay moving, always, and not let your momentum die. It’s trying to seize every day you are gifted upon this earth, and if you let the momentum die, you act again and start rebuilding it.

Many find satisfaction in seizing the opportunities which great people do. The truly great, however they learn to press forward when everyone else sees disaster and when it’s the least expected. Imagine two great commanders pressing each other to maximum exhaustion. The truly great commanding will press once more when everyone thinks it’s impossible, defying the odds, and winning the battle.

Q

Knowledge Isn’t Power Action Is.

A

Knowledge isn’t power, action is. Execution trumps knowledge every day of the week. The important thing is to just do it, get over your fears and what’s holding you back and just leap into it.

“Don’t complain.

Don’t say you can’t.

Don’t make up a story.

Instead, make a decision now!” - Tony Robbins

Changing your story is sometimes all it takes to get started, and instead of your story being filled with “I can’t and I won’t” you change it to “I can and I will”. Instead of your story being one of limitation, it becomes a story of empowerment:” I will not be one of many who can’t, I will be one of few who can”. It’s simple, you either let the story use you or you use the story. Change your story, change your life.

“Dare to live the dreams you have dreamed for yourself.” - Ralph Waldo Emerson

Q

Big Changes

A

What would happen if you thought of making a big change? Just picking up and moving to another city. Try and take the blinders off and see the possibilities in your life where you could improve the quality of life greatly by making a big change. Moving to another place is one of these big changes, and often you can increase your income by 10% or 100%. Want to be an entrepreneur, maybe think of moving somewhere the environment promotes people trying to start businesses. It could also be you are sick of the winter weather where you live, so move, don’t wait until retirement like everyone else, and make the big change, now. We live in a world with endless opportunities, so why not take advantage and experience a new culture? Don’t think small, think big, like a move to Asia or something crazy to learn something new and get great spending power. It’s the same as when you sold your computer, it was a big change that had a huge return on investment.

Don’t do like the others and wait in a comfortable place, but instead take the leap. Follow the herd and you have no chance at greatness. The unconventional wisdom is the only way you succeed.
