- acting on impulse and decides to kill Macduff’s family to teach him a lesson. He’s not remembering the “Beware Macduff” prophecy, though, because this would just make it worse.

- Macbeth basically takes this to mean that he can’t be killed by anyone. He doesn’t read between the lines or even act suspicious.
