- emasculating her husband for refusing to take the daggers back. Says that only children are scared of the dead
- shocking for Jacobean audiences. Husbands were seen as dominant so for a wife to be ridiculing her husband like this was unheard of.

- making herself appear the same as her husband yet still emasculating him. Pointing out the fact that he is in it as much as his wife yet he is being dramatic. Saying he’s mentally weaker than a woman.
