Why is this murder scene significant?
A
Macbeth sends a third murderer to ensure the murders are all done as intended; this shows he has no trust in anyone and wants to be “double sure” (Act 4 Scene 1).

How is fate relevant in this scene?
A
While Macbeth believes in fate earlier on, which causes all the events, he also tries to change it actively, emphasising his inconsistency and unstable state of mind.
