Benvolio believed that hot weather caused people to be more emotional. Benvolio also believed that fight would breakout if the Capulet’s and the Montagues run into each other.

When Tybalt appears Mercutio tries to pick a fight by taking everything he says as an insult. Even if it’s not.
Why does Romeo refuse to fight Tybalt?
Romeo refuses to fight Tybalt because now that he’s married to Juliet, Romeo and Tybalt are cousins. Tybalt is unaware that Romeo is now family and attempts to pick a fight.
What happens when Romeo tries to stop Mercutio from fighting?
Romeo tries to stop Mercutio and Tybalt from righting by trying to beat down their weapons. Then he gets in-between them and Tybalt stabs Mercutio under Romeo’s arm. Romeo then kills Tybalt in battle and is banished.

Mercutio is upset that Romeo interferes with the fight and that causes him to die an honourable death. Mercutio curses both the Montagues and the Capulet’s for causing his death.

Romeo’s fight with Tybalt results with Romeo killing Tybalt. Romeo then flees the scene before the Prince comes.
What does Benvolio suggest Romeo should do?
Benvolio suggests Romeo should run away and flee the scene before the Prince arrives. He suggests this because the Prince would have him killed for breaking the law and for fighting in the streets.
Who demands that Romeo be put to death?
Lady Capulet, for the death of Tybalt.
What is the Prince’s decision?
The Prince exiled him from Verona. The Prince chose not to kill him because Tybalt killed Mercutio the Prince’s cousin, and Romeo killed Tybalt.
What is Juliet doing at the beginning of Act 3 Scene 2?
Juliet is blissfully wishing the day would go by faster , so she can see Romeo. Juliet is starstruck with Romeo so she wants nothing more than to be with him.
How does Juliet first interpret the Nurse’s news that”he’s dead’’?
Juliet is a bit confused, as she does not know entirely what has happened. THis causes Juliet to interpret Romeo being dead instead of Mercutio.
What does Juliet say about Romeo after the Nurse tells her that Romeo killed Tybalt?
Juliet says harsh and cruel things to the nurse as she feels utterly betrayed. The nurse was her most trusted friend.
How does Juliet react when the Nurse critics Romeo
Juliet is heartbroken because her husband has just died, so she insults and calls Tybalt a villain. Juliet is enraged and takes out all her feelings on others.
