Act 1, Scene 2 Flashcards
William: Oh, that would be lovely.
Grimlock: Rings Bell
Yes Father?
Grimlocke: Helena, our guest would like some tea.
Of course, Father.
William: Ah, well that’s the mark of a good servant, I suppose. If they’re doing their job right you shouldn’t even know that they’re there.
Grimlocke: Exactly.
Helena Enters
William: Ah, thank you very much for the tea, my dear, Helena is it?
Why yes it is
William: I am charmed to make your acquaintance. Kisses hand
Grimlocke: Helena, may I introduce the man from the firm of Rice and Farmsworth in London. This is Wilhelm.
William: Well, actually…please just call me Will.
A pleasure, Will. I hope you like the tea. We made sure to find some very special English tea to make you feel at home.
William: I’m just lucky to be waited on by such a lovely young woman. I’m sure the tea will be divine. Sputters/grimaces
Oh, is something wrong?
William: Oh no, it’s fine. It’s just in England we take our tea with…sugar. And hot.
Grimlocke: Ah yes! Sugar! How could we be so forgetful? Helena, go and fetch some sugar for our guest.
Um, yes. Of course.
