A
All sexually active females
females of childbearing age who have vaginal/abdominal complaints
Positive pregnancy test
All menopausal females

When should first PAP be obtained
A
Within 3 years of becoming sexually active or at age 21
At onset of sexual activity or at age of 18

How often should is PAP recommended
A
Annually until age 30, then every 2-3 years thereafter if normal
Annually or less frequently after 3 or more normal smears, based on patient risk factors and discretion of patient and clinician
