When do you call a code blue?
A
- When patient is unresponsive for whatever reason – ask them, try to pinch them? Then call a code blue = no pulse & no respiration
- Cardiac arrest, no pulse no respiration

- Involved in establishing IV access and delivering medication
- Compressor – at the side of the bed
- Ventilator – at the head of the bed
- Defibrillator – in charge of placing pads on patient
- Leader – giving the roles
