A
Dysphagia, regurgitation, chest pain, weight loss

A
Barium swallow: dilated esophagus, poor emptying, and air fluid level tapering LES
Esophageal mammography: impaired LES relaxation, absent peristalsis

Achalasia treatment plan
A
No way to prevent or reverse
Reduce LES pressure with nitrates or CCB
Botox in LES
Pneumatic dilation and heller myotomy
