Handheld devices
Portable and runs on battery so can be charged. Due to small device, it has smaller storage and more likely to be stolen. Have advanced large storage and security measures but restrict space. Allows network connection to other dives.
Portable devices
Includes laptops and larger tablets. Portable and are larger and more powerful than handheld devices. More versatile. Run on battery so can work without a power outlet. All info can be accessed anywhere.
Fixed devices
Includes desktops and consoles. Largest in size and have highest processing power and most powerful hardware. Most versatile and highest storage. Cant be moved and require a power outlet.
Shared devices
Includes cloud storage and data centres. Allow access to data of multiple users at the same time. Cloud storage will allow users to access info anywhere. Requires a stable connection and take time and skill to set up.
