ACAWS Flashcards
Warning
Requires immediate corrective or compensatory action to prevent injury or loss of life
Caution
Requires corrective or compensatory action to prevent damage to aircraft equipment
Advisory
System condition that may require crew action
Hush Button
On control yoke forward lower button
GCAS - glideslope/too low flaps
Gear (Flaps<70%)
TCAS
MWS
Doesn’t work for anything else
DOORS OPEN (W)
Takeoff - Abort
Affected door/ramp - Close
ENG 1 MGT HI (W)
MGT above 852C
Power lever (affected engine) - reduce as required
Below 852 - Continuation permissible
Above 852 - Shutdown engine
FIRE EXT FAILURE (W)
Ground - MX required before flight
Flight - Land as soon as possible
L/R WING BLD AIR LEAK (W)
Temp still high 30s after detection
Power lever (affected engine) - FLT IDLE
If ACAWS doesn’t clear in one minute - shutdown engine
If ACAWS clears continue engine operation at FLT idle or shutdown engine
NAC BLD AIR LEAK (W)
Temp still high after 30s
FIRE handle - pull
ENGINE START switch - stop
NAC BLD AIR LEAK NOT ISOL (W)
Nacelle shutoff valve or high stage augmenter valve is not closed
Power lever (affected engine) - retard toward FLT IDLE
If ACAWS does not clear - FIRE handle pull ENG start switch - stop
If ACAWS clears less than one minute - continue engine operation at FLT IDLE or shutdown engine
RAMP OPEN PRESSURIZED (W)
RAMP/DOOR switch - Verify OFF
In-flight crew door and ramp warning procedure - accomplish
SMOKE CGO/DECK (W)
Inspect
Fire/Smoke/Fumes Elimination Procedure - Accomplish
STRT VLV OPEN
Respective engine start valve is open when commanded closed
FIRE handle - Pull
ENG Start switch - STOP
ADC 1 FAIL (C)
Select the fully functional CADC as data source for both pilot and copilot.
ALL BLD AIR LEAK DET FAIL (C)
Automatic detection of bleed air leak is not available and automatic overheat protection is lost.
All engine nacelle shutoff valves - CLOSE
Continue procedure….
APU OVERTEMP (C)
APU EGT exceeds 710C
Turn off AC to reduce APU loading
ATCS DEGRADED (C)
Automatic thrust control function loses capability.
Ground: MX required to clear fault.
T/O: Abort before V1
In flight: FADEC reset / limit outboard engine HP to 50%
AUX HYD PUMP PRESS LO(C)
Pressure < 1000PSI
May be an indication of pump cavitation during high altitude operation.
If cavitation persists reduce altitude, and aux pump off as soon as possible.
CGO A/C SHUTDOWN (C)
A/C shutdown for the water separator overpressure limits and the flow control valve is closed.
Setting a warmer temperature may resolve the issue.
CAB DIFF PRESS HIGH (C)
Pressure exceeds safety valve limits
A/C Packs off. UNDERFLOOR switch - fan.
Emergency manual pressurization control - accomplish.
EGI 1 FAIL (C)
CNI lost communication with respective EGI.
Select alternate navigation solution on the NAV SELECT page on the AMU.
EMER BRAKES FAIL (C)
Aux pump on for 5s and pressure <1000psi
Monitor emergency brake pressure.
EMER BRAKE SEL switch - Normal
ENG 1 A/I VLV FAIL (C)
Anti-ice valve position does not match commanded position.
FADEC - reset
If system is on when condition permit
ENG Ice Protection switch - off
FADEC - reset
ENG 1 MGT HI (C)
ENG MGT is above 833C with NG>72%.
On Ground: ENGINE START switch - STOP
In flight: Power lever (affected engine) - reduce
If below 852 continued engine operation is permissible.
