How to avoid plagiarism
If you copy someone’s words, put them in quotation marks and cite the source.
If you copy a table, figure, or image, cite the source.
If you restate (paraphrase) someone’s ideas in your own words, cite (or acknowledge) the source
Give credit to others for their intellectual property
How to do acknowledgments
list on your acknowledgements page (page ii) your peer reviewers, TA/Prof (if you consulted them), and friends/family who helped by proofreading.
