describe Bandura’s experiment
bandura carried out a series of experiments involving a bobo doll.
the eperiment involved exposing children to adults showing aggression and non. after witnissing the aggressive behaviour, all children repeated this behaviour and even came up with new ways of harming the doll.
how does the BoBo doll experiment account for criminality
criminal behaviour can be learnt for observation. some people learn criminal behaviour from those around them

criminality is like any other behaviour in that it can be learnt throguh observation and positive or negative reinforcment
describe psychological theory (Eysecnck)
certain personalities are more likely to be criminal: the extrobert, neurotic and psychotic personalities.
the personalities he identified are: extravert/innovation, neurotic/stable, and psychotic.
how did Eysenck study
he carried out a questionarie with 700 soliders who were being treated for neurotic disorders at the hospital he was working for. he believed that the anwsers of the questions suggested there was a number of different personality traits.
describe Freuds theory
focuses on early childhood experiences and feeling of guilt, and our uncounscious mind. this can result in criminality. the psyche is divided into three parts id, ego, superego.
conflict between the three will lead to criminality
what is the ID
it controls our selfish and animalistic urges.
the ID wants gratification and represents basic needs .
what is the ego
seeks rational and sensible control.

material deprivation thieves study. those seperated from their mothers are most likely to be criminal.
studied 44 juvenile delinquents and compared them to with non criminals. out of the delinquents 39% had experienced complete seperation from their mothers for six+ months.
