Right realism:

Case studies for Crime Control
Colin Stagg: Wrongfully convicted of murder. Used undercover tactics- honeytrap, to obtain a confession. Prioritised securing a conviction quickly. Case later dropped due to lack of solid evidence.
Barry George: Wrongfully convicted of murder. Used forensic profiling to fit him to the suspect. Wanted to take swift action. Later acquitted after appeal highlighted flaws in evidence used.
Case Studies for Due Process
Gary Weddell: Given statutory legal rights. Released on bail for murder-presumption of bail, innocent till proven guilty.
Later went and killed another person and took his own life.
Robert Thompson and Jon Venables: Received legal rights. Given the right to appeal and have identity protection and post trial safeguards.
