What are the roles of agencies, parliament and judicial
- parliament- represented by the House of Commons and the House Of Lords

Judicial Precedent is when a judge uses laws in ways that were set out in higher courts
What are the roles of the police, CPS and Courts
Police - secure crime scene and protect the public
CPS - review evidence, decision on if to prosecute, apply the full code test and present the case in court
Courts - HM courts are responsible for the administration of the courts in UK
They decide on if to sentence and individual based on evidence provided
What is the relationship between the courts and probation (9 marks)
From Probation to Court
- if an offender doesn’t comply they can be sent back to court for resentencing

- communicates a potential release date (court) to achieve rehabilitation (probation)
