A
Glass will absorb UV radiation

When will light be absorbed by a material?
A
If the frequency of light matches the energy levels of the electrons. The light will be absorbed by the electrons and not re-emitted

What will happen to the waves overtime?
A
They will be absorbed, and then re-emitted over time as heat. So that particular frequency has been absorbed

How will this affect the appearance of the object e.g. if the object is green?
A
If a material appears green, only green light has been reflected, and the rest of the
frequencies in visible light have been absorbed
