- I am a self-disciplined, industrious person with exceptional interpersonal and skills. I think I already have the skills and qualities to meet the expectations of this role.

What are your motivations for applying to this role, and why is your experience relevant
I applied for this role because it aligns perfectly with my academic interests, career aspirations, and experience in the betting and gaming sector. My PPE degree honed my written communication, research skills, and attention to detail, particularly in politics and public affairs. I’m skilled at synthesizing arguments, challenging perspectives, and presenting ideas coherently.
My experience at Sky Betting & Gaming has given me transferable skills highly relevant to this role, including knowledge of safer gambling practices, Gambling Commission regulations, and the structure of a company like Entain. I understand its brands, products, and operational dynamics, positioning me to make an impact from day one.
what are you main strengths?
- I am always very passionate and enthusiastic about whatever I am doing which in turn makes me a very strong problem solver because I convert this passion into finding innovative solutions to problems
- I have exceptional communication skills, whether that be orally or in writing, I am really good at adapting my communication styles to suit any audience or purposes
- I am very commercially aware, I understand what it takes for businesses to succeed, particulalry in this industry as I already have helped a business succeed in the betting and gaming sector
- I have very strong leadership capabilities - I will often take the lead in difficult situations and do what I can to solve challenging problems before passing them on to a manager
what are your weaknesses?
- One area I’m working on is my tendency to overthink, which can sometimes delay decision-making. As a naturally analytical person, I value thoroughness but have learned to balance this with timely action. To improve, I’ve adopted strategies like setting time limits for decisions and discussing options with trusted colleagues to gain clarity. This has helped me trust my instincts and make confident decisions, even with incomplete information.

where do I see myself in 5 years time/ how would you like to progress in this role?
In five years, I see myself as a key contributor to Entain, having developed strong expertise in public affairs and policy. I aim to look back and see clear professional growth, having learned from industry experts and delivered impactful, measurable work.
I aspire to take on increased responsibility, progressing through the public affairs team and leveraging my expertise to handle more complex challenges.
I also aim to build a strong professional network, fostering trust and rapport with internal and external stakeholders to enhance collaboration and drive success.
Ultimately, my long-term goal is to establish myself as a successful professional in public affairs, policy, and lobbying. I’m confident this role at Entain will provide the experience and platform to achieve these ambitions.
