What actions are taken for the ERV isolation valve in natural circ CD?
If closed, then
- Open and maintain CV-1000 open for duration or CD
or
- Cycle every 100 deg F during CD to prevent thermal binding.

150 deg (tubes colder) in emergency

How is cooldown rate controlled when feeding ruptured SG?
SGs might not pressurize and SG level might not be established; therefore, cooldown is controlled by adjusting feed rate
What actions are taken in natural circ cooldown if indications of RV head steam bubble occurs?
Terminate depressurization and pressurize slightly to reduce size of bubble and continue cooldown rate at < 50 deg/hr.
How is RCS pressure controlled during natural circ cooldown?
1) Cycling PZR high point vents (Quench tank pressure of 100# will blow rupture disk).
2) Cycle ERV
3) Perform in surge and out surge of PZR by placing PZR heaters in off and cycle PZR level between 60” and 200”.
In order of Preference
If offsite power available, adjusting Letdown flow is the preferred action.
When is the ES HPI and LPI pump secured during natural circ cooldown when RB sump recirc in progress?
If SCM adequate, total HPI flow < 475 gpm and both LPI trains available, secure ES HPI pump and LPI pump and align for DH operation per 1104.004 DHR during cooldown section.
If not on RB sump recirc, place one LPI pump in DH operation.
When is transition made to ESAS in small break LOCA cooldown?
If LPI flow is 2800 gpm with 2 pumps in service or > 3050 gpm with 1 LPI pump in service
What actions are taken at 700 psig RCS pressure?
CFT outlet breakers are closed and valves are closed and locked open.
What actions are taken when RCS pressure < 450 psig and RCS temp > 271 deg F?
Secure the 3rd running RCP down to 2 in service.
When is DH directed to be placed in service?
CET < 275 deg F and RCS pressure < 250#
What action is taken at 450# SG pressure in forced flow cooldown?
Aux FW pump secured.
