What structures are elongated/ shortened in kyphotic-lordotic posture?

A

elongated: cervical flex, middle trap and rhomboids (ABD) , thoracic ES, External oblique (ant pelvic tilt)
shortened: neck extensors, hip flexors, lumbar ext—exc. low back due to ext in sitting

Q

describe flexed knee posture. what structures are heavily impacted?

A

almost like a “nose over toes” mid-sit -to-stand posture. magnitude of MA is increased so it requires a.lot of counteractive extension by the quads. Also requires tibfemoral and patelllofemoral joint compression (very tiring position)
