What are the 3 types of gestational trophoblastic disease?
Hydatidiform mole - most common, a sense of fetus or gestational sac
Invasive molar - becomes malignant, invades into myometrium and peritoneum
Choriocarcinoma - most malignant, possible Mets to lung, liver, brain
What is a large gestational sac without yolk sac or embryo?
Blighted ovum (anembryonic pregnancy)
What are the 5 types of miscarriages/abortions?
Threatened - spotting / low FHR
Missed - spotting, low hCG / intact demise
Incomplete - bleeding, positive hCG / RPOC
Complete - bleeding, negative hCG / normal endometrium
Inevitable - cramping, spotting / low lying GS
What is a bleed that is in between the endometrium and gestational sac?
Subchorionic hemorrhage
What is the most common pelvic mass visualized during the 1st trimester?
Corpus Luteum (secretes progesterone)
