Assistant V-4 Division Officer
Assists in admin, supervising, and training. Responsible for proper operation of 3M system. Assigns division personnel daily tasks
Leading Chief Petty Officer
Duties follow closely to the LCPO and responsible for the maintenance of the training program
Leading Petty Officer
Supervises all operations of the aviation fuels system and related equipment. Prepares daily fuels reports. Keeps LCPO and Aviation Fuels Maintenance Officer (BOS’N) informed of equipment status. Assigns personnel to watch stations.
Below Decks Supervisor
Responsible to the Below Decks Supervisor for the operation and cleanliness of the JP-5 pump rooms. Trains pump room and filter operators. Keeps the Below Decks Supervisor informed of equipment status. Ensures logs and records are maintained. Proper ventilation and all damage control fittings are properly set.
JP- 5 Pump Room Supervisor
Monitors and controls piping alignment to the flight deck during aircraft refueling evolution. Monitors water/fuel level in tanks
JP-5 Console Operator
Receives fuel, transfers fuel, pumps service fuel, stripping tanks, obtaining samples
JP-5 Pump Room Operator
Proper operation of JP-5 service filters. Obtains samples and logs results. Monitors and records inlet, discharge and differential pressure. Constant communication with pump room Operator
JP-5 Fliter Operator
Informs Bos’n of equipment status. Ensures equipment status records are kept. Obtains required supplies for flight deck fuels personnel
Flight Deck Fuels LPO
Makes crew assignments. Supervises fueling and defueling operations
Flight Deck Supervisor
Maintains normal communications during flight quarters with pump room, filter room, and refueling crews. Maintains fuel status board. Monitors aircraft fuel status.
Flight Deck Control Talker
Ensures sample bottles are clean, dry, and ready to receive fuel samples. Operates and maintains all quality control test equipment. Inspects and tests for contamination of all fuel being received or issued. Prepares monthly fuel samples for delivery to designated fuel labs
Quality Surveillance Sentries(Quality Assurance)
Supervises refueling crew in refueling station set up and securing. Supervises refueling crew in the fueling and defueling of aircraft. Proper sampling procedures are performed. Determines quantity of fuel onboard aircraft.
Refueling Crew Leader.
Sets up and secured refueling stations. Refuels and de fuels aircraft. Obtains samples
Refueling Crewmen
Thorough knowledge of hand tools and their uses. Maintains and repairs aviation fuel stations and associated equipment on the flight and hangar deck. Troubleshoots and repairs automatic fuel/defuel valves as well as continuity wiring contained within refueling hoses. Repairs aircraft refueling nozzles, de fuels pumps, and all valves associated with aircraft refueling stations.
Aviation Fuels Repairman
Purpose/Characteristics of the PQS Program PQS is a standard program for qualifying officer and enlisted personnel to perform certain duties. Not a training program but many training objectives.

Contains the BASIC KNOWLEDGE and principles needed to understand the equipment or duties to be studied

The equipment is BROKEN DOWN INTO SMALLER, more comprehensive, functional systems as basic building blocks in the learning process

LIST THE TASKS YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO SATISFACTORILY PERFORM in order to achieve final PQS qualification for a particular watch station
