5th right rib midclavicular line to costal margin mid axillary line

5th left intercostal space at midclavicular line
what is the surface marking of the gallbladder?
rectus abdominis lateral border crossing the costal margin (tip of 9th costal cartilage)
what is the surface marking of the spleen?
medial border - lateral border of erector spinae muscles
lateral border - midaxillary line

4/5cm from spinous processes at rib 11 to 3/4cm above supracristal plane

transpyloric plane (L1)

4cm from spinous processes from 11th intercostal space to L3

descend from hilia (L1) lying close to transverse processes of L2-5 and sacroiliac joint
