Is an air infiltration test per ASTM E783 always required in storefront tests per AAMA 503?
Why?
A
No. The test is optional.
It is not always practical to account for all sources of air leakage through continuous storefront or sloped glazing systems. Therefor air infiltration tests should not be attempted on this type of system.
