A320 jetBlue Lights & Switches Electrical Panel Flashcards
1
Q
BATT 1 (2) Indicator
A
Shows battery voltage
2
Q
BATT 1 (2) pb sw
A
- Normally extinguished
- Battery Charge Limiter controls the connection and disconnection of the corresponding battery tot he DC BAT BUS by closing and opening the battery line connector
- FAULT: Comes on amber, accompanied by an ECAM caution when charging current is outside limitations. CONTACTOR OPENS
- OFF: (white) The battery charging limiter is not operating.
3
Q
IDG 1 (2) pb switch guarded
A
- Guarded and extinguished during normal operation
- FAULT: Illuminates with ECAM message caution if: 1 ) IDG oil outlet overheats 2 ) IDG oil pressure falls below limits
- Extinguishes when the IDG is disconnected and the IDG oil temp has decreased
4
Q
GEN 1 (2) pb sw
A
- Extinguished during normal operation
- FAULT: Illuminates with amber ECAM message if: 1 ) The associated Generator Control Unit (GCU) trips, or 2 ) The line contactor opens (except if GEN pushbutton is selected OFF)
- Normally illuminated before engine start
- OFF: (white) The generator field is de-energized and the line contactor opens. The fault circuit is reset.
5
Q
APU GEN pb
A
- Extinguished during normal operation. The generator field is energized and the line contactor closes if electrical parameters are normal
- FAULT: Illuminates with amber ECAM caution if: 1 )The associated generator control unit (GCU) trips, or 2 ) The line contactor opens (except if the GEN pushbutton is selected OFF)
- OFF: (white) The generator field is de-energized and the line contactor opens. The fault circuit is reset
6
Q
EXT PWR pb
A
- AVAIL: Illuminates green if External Power is connected and within parameters. Extinguishes in ON is illuminated or if the external power is disconnected
- ON: Illuminates cyan when the external power is connected to the electrical system
7
Q
BUS TIE pb
A
- AUTO: (extinguished) The bus tie contactors (BTC) will open or close automatically in order to maintain power supply to the AC buses. The generators have priority over external power. External power (if selected ON) has priority over the APU
- OFF: (white) Both BTCs are open
8
Q
AC ESS FEED pb
A
- Extinguished during normal operation. The AC ESS BUS is normally supplied from the AC BUS 1 but will be powered automatically by AC BUS 2 due to an auto transfer. (all A/C)
- FAULT: Illuminates amber with ECAM caution when the AC ESS BUS is not powered, after auto-transfer to AC BUS 2
- ALTN: Illuminates white only when selected. AC ESS BUS is being supplied by AC BUS 2
9
Q
GALY & CAB pb
A
- Extinguished during normal operation. Main and secondary galleys are supplied. In flight, with one generator only, will automatically shed the main galley
- FAULT: Illuminates amber with ECAM caution when the load on any generator is more than 100% of rated output
- OFF: Illuminates white when the main galley and secondary galley are not supplied
10
Q
COMMERCIAL pb
A
- Extinguished during normal operation
- OFF: (white) Switches off all aircraft commercial electrical loads. Turns off cargo and cabin lights, galley equipment/lights, water and toilet systems & drain mast ice protections
