Autopilot?
AUTOMATIC FLIGHT CONTROL SYSTEM (AFCS) The Automatic Flight Control System (AFCS) mainly consists of a four-axis dual-duplex HAC3000-109 autopilot system. The system comprises: – One Flight Control Computer (FCC) – One AutoPilot Mode Selector (APMS) control panel – Three pairs of linear actuators – Four trim actuators (or magnetic brakes) – Four angular position transducers. The FCC, installed in the electro-avionic compartment, has two inde- pendent channels (Channel 1 and Channel 2). Each channel, pow- ered by an independent power supply unit, has two sections (Section A and Section B). Each section includes a CPU-board and an I/O-board. The two channels communicate with each other via dedi- cated internal and external data links.

What is an ADI?
An attitude indicator (AI), also known as gyro horizon or artificial horizon or attitude director indicator (ADI, when it has a Flight Director), is an instrument used in an aircraft to inform the pilot of the orientation of the aircraft relative to Earth’s horizon. It indicates pitch (fore and aft tilt) and bank (side to side tilt) and is a primary instrument for flight in instrument meteorological conditions.
What is an HSI?
Horizontal Situation Indicator (HSI) The HSI is a direction indicator that uses the output from a flux valve to drive the dial, which acts as the compass card. This instrument, shown in Figure 5-38, combines the magnetic compass with navigation signals and a glideslope. This gives the pilot an indication of the location of the aircraft with relationship to the chosen course.
