A New Nation Flashcards

1
Q

When the war was over, most agreed that the government should be based on the consent of the country. Why was that a problem? How was the nation split?

A

The nation was split:
1. Each state had its own government. (some had this belief)
2. some wanted a central gov
3. some wanted the very wealthy planters to make the decisions (bc they were smarter and wealthy)
4. some wanted democracy

Bad: bc everyone had different ideas of what that consent meant
