What is a sign?
It’s weather an object, word, picture- which has a particularly meaning to a person or a group of people. (once object+meaning)
What the sing consists of?
The Signifier, which is the material object, and
The Signified, which is the meaning.
What is Globalization?
It’s the process of international integration arising from the interchange of world views, products, ideas, and other aspects of culture.
What is capitalism?
an economic and political system in which a country’s trade and industry are controlled by private owners for profit, rather than by the state.
Advertisement?
Most important cultural factor molding and reflecting our life today
Ideology?
Is the meaning made necessary by the conditions of society while helping to perpetuate ( prevail) those conditions. (Believes and values)
Signifier?
Material object or person
Signified?
Meaning connotation or de notation
Connotation?
No longer literal. A meaning attributed to a signifier cultural.
Currency?
Is something which represents value and in its interchangeability whit other things gives them value too.
Referent system?
System of signs from which the product draws its image. It’s external “reality” to the sign.
Differentiation?
The necessity of create differentiation between one particular product and others in same category.
Technique of advertisement?
It’s to correlate feelings, moods or attributes to tangible objects, linking possible unattainable things which those that are attainable, and thus reassuring us that the former are within reach.
Objective Correlative?
It’s a signifier that comes loaded with meaning and its used to give value to a product

Literal description.
