“Yellow”- unsanitary, diseases, sickness, uncared for by the rich
“wolfish”- dehumanises the poor, portrays them to be animalistic and feral

Clear change: redemption has taken place
‘Shut out’ no longer closed: contrast to ‘oyster’: it has now opened and the golden salvation of Scrooge has taken place
