A

Just because a poem doesn’t rhyme–does not mean that the poem doesn’t use sound to affect readers. There are many less obvious ways to use the music of words to get a point across. Read these two lines out loud and listen to the way they sound.

The two lines don’t rhyme, but there are sounds that are repeated several times. The sound of the letter “i” in wish occurs four times–in whistling, whiskers, wish, and live. And the “i” in wind is repeated at the end of the second line in again.
