which activity is well carried at present
which business activity does not exist today
which activity is inadequate today

I review each current activity against the POPIT model:

Recruit Sales People:

People - do our Recruitment Agent have the right skills?
Org - Are Recruitment Agent jobs & responsibilities well defined?
Processes - How well is the Recruitment process working?
IT - Are the present systems/data hindering or supporting the recruitment process?

What do you do after analysing the BAM activities?

I design as is and to be process models to show how the work is and will be carried out.

What do you do after designing the process models?

Answer 4

I document a GAP analysis to identify actions needed to deal with the gaps considering the POPIT model.

It is also a way of identifying options for business improvement and business case.
