.86 Flashcards
What is the point of the .86
To provide standardization to gunnery programs through performance-oriented, sequential, progressive, realistic, and challenging training.
What publications should you reference for standard operating procedures?
Tactical TSOP and Feild FSOP, and Army strategic objectives plan ASOP
What 3 elements does table VIII certification consist of?
Mission capability, mobility, and air battle management
What are the 2 decoupling elements out of the 3 table VIII primary elements
Mobility and ABM
What is the purpose of the 2 decoupling elements for table 8?
Gives the commander an efficient method to certify AMBM and mobility providing a way to reduce risk
To ensure equipment is FMC and free of non-waived, NMC, safety faults what publications are used?
Applicable operator manuals, AR 700-138, Patriot status monitor handbook(fix or fight)
A mission capability evaluation allows the commander to accept risk (i.e., “circle X” authorization to continue evaluation with existing “fight now-fix later” or AR 700-138 faults, etc.) True or False?
True
When can a commander waive faults for an evaluation

Sequential
Where do you find the most up to date drills and collective tasks?
Central army registry
What publications are used for information on collective tasks?
Drills, TCs, interactive electronic technical manual (IETMs), technical manual (TMs), and local SOPs
What is mission capable equipment?
free of non-waived Non Mission Capable (NMC) or safety faults per applicable operator manuals and AR 700-138, or “must fix” faults per the Patriot Status Monitor Handbook (“Fix-or-Fight”).
When is it ok to have faults on equipment during Table Certifications
Commander waived faults must either be annotated beforehand on applicable maintenance documents with appropriate action taken (i.e. parts on order, work order submitted, DA Form 5988-E (Equipment Maintenance and Inspection Worksheet), etc.). or they must be immediately observed and addressed by certifying personnel at the time of occurrence (in the event failure occurs during evaluation).
What regulation can you find if equipment has a deadline, safety etc fault?
AR 750-1, AR 700-138,
What regulation can you find must fix or fight faults?
Patriot status monitor handbook
When can the CDR assume risk and wave faults for a Gunnery certification
faults must either be annotated beforehand on applicable maintenance documents with appropriate action taken (i.e., parts on order), or immediately observed and addressed at the time of occurrence (in event failure occurs during evaluation) by certifying personnel.
New timelines extend certification requirements (as long as crews maintained testing and integrity requirements) true or false
