Must not jeopardize investigation or criminal or civil process
What may employees not release to public of police records?
Incident report info, suspect’s arrest history outside of dept, names of deceased (until next of kin), info about identity of assault victims
Where shall requests for information on juveniles be directed to?
concerned division or Public Affairs
When shall reports or requests that are allowed to be reviewed be made available?
Each day between 8 AM and 4 PM
Who is responsible for maintaining a log of released police records?
The division who releases them
Who may authorize removal of official city record from the department?
Employee WITH Commander approval
How may employees obtain pictures of other employee’s personnel photos?
With approval from commander
