What are the 3 categories of protista?
Protozoa - Animal like
Algae - Plant like
Slime/Water moulds - Fungi like
How do protozoa feed?
They feed on other organisms, and can be parasitic.
What are the four types of protozoa? How are they divided?
Theyre divided based on their locomotive (movement):
Sarcodines: Move with fake feet created from their cytoplasm, pseudopodia.
CIliates: Covered in cilia that beat in rythmn.
Flagellates: Covered in flagella that whip from side to side.
Sporozoans: Small contrations allow for gliding motions.
What are the types of slime and water moulds?
Water moulds are saprotrophs.
Plasmodial slime moulds loo like tiny slugs.
Cellular slime moulds:
Describe algae.
Aquatic and contain chlorophyll.
Carry out photosynthesis.
