Conflict between different beliefs and values

Universalism
Truth is absolute, right or wrong determined by laws, religion, rules
Particularism
Truth is subjective, right or wrong determined by circumstances and relationships not just laws
Ethnocentrism
Companies apply standards of morality from home country. My culture is always best
Cultural relativism
Regarding elements of a culture from the viewpoint of the culture. Every culture is valid
Cyclic approach
Ethical beliefs + values - normative (moral) influences on instrumental requirements - institutional requirements - social control, stability + continuity
Globe attributes of ethical leaders
Character and integrity, altruism, encouragement, collective motivation
Invisible hand theory
Under capitalism, those to pursue their own good tent also too good for their own communities – multinational enterprises have positive impact on developing countries
