Specific x diffuse (trompenaars)
Specific- direct, precise, blunt, definitive, principles and consistent moral stands independent of person being addressed. Transactional leadership.

Diffuse- indirect, aimless forms of relating, tactful, ambiguous, highly situational morality depending on person and context encountered. Servant leadership.

Third culture types

A

Fusion-share a certain amount of values. When values don’t emerge naturally though team interaction.

Assimilation- team fully shares all values, usually brought in by individuals in the team.

Melting pot-teams share all values as a result of team interaction, new values emerge. Used when cultural differences may create conflict.

Mosaic- mixture of pre existing values, ethnicities, languages, experiences. If mosaic is made out of tiles, each time represents one influence (values, geographic location, age). Combining all members tiles makes mosaic. Maintains individual satisfaction and improve company performance.
