What were some terms

A

Article 231 said that Germany was to solely to blame for causing the First
World War
• The German army was limited to 100,000 men
• Germany was not allowed to build any submarines or tanks or have an air force
• Germany had to pay reparations of £6.6 billion for damage caused during the war. Most of this went to France for their re-building programme
• Germany lost all of its overseas colonies.
• The German Navy was reduced to only 6 Battleships
