they grew up together on the lower east side of Manhattan; they worked out together; both were interested in boxing; both were fighters; both slept, ate, rapped and dreamt positive. They both want to win the fight and put out their best.
When the story says “There ain’t no draws in the eliminations.”, what does this mean and how does apply to the conflict between the boys? (what do they know will happen?)
In an eliminations, only one person can come out on top (win). Both boys know that there can only be one winner in the boxing match.
