Airman Comprehensive Assessment (ACA)
Purpose:
- record formal comm between raters/ratees
- may be used on ratee’s evaluation
- mandatory supporting document routed with EPR
- not a matter of official record
Policies:
- Must be private, face to face feedback
- Telephone may be used in unusual circumstances
- If rater is unavailable, conducted by rater’s rater
- Tracking mechanism developed by unit CC
Mandatory For:
- officers through rank of Col
- all active duty
- AF Reserve component
Talking Points:
- Where ratee needs improvement
- Determine if ratee needs more info
- Set future expectations
- Personal & professional goals
- Role in support of the mission
- Individual readiness

Separation Procedures for Air National Guard & Air Force Reserve
Rater Directed Feedback
Policies:
- Within 60 days after EPR close-out
- Within 60 days prior to EPR close-out for period of supervision less than 150 days
- Midway between start & EPR close-out date
- Within 60 days of when supervision began
- Every 180 days for AB thru A1C
Record Keeping:
- Original signed copy given to ratee
- Copies maintained by rater
Ratee Requested
Policies:
1. 60 days must have passed since last session
MPF Notice to Raters
Policies:
- Within 30 days of when supervision began
- Halfway between start & EPR close-out date
AETC Form 156
Title:
Student Training Report
Purpose:
- Document academic progress reports
- For non-rated initial/advanced skills training students
- May be used in-lieu of mid-term ACA
