What is VR?
A
An artificial environment created using a computer system where the user experiences a 3D simulation using a headset

How does VR work?
A
Realistic 3D images are displayed and a sensor tracks head movement to adjust the images to reflect the change of perspective. Sound can also be added.

What are the features of a VR headset?
A
- Headset blocks out light from outside
- Screens display stimulated environment
- 360-degree view
- The perspective changes in real time, i.e. no lag

- Used to investigate locations and activities so customers can explore a range of options
- Customers can virtually work through accommodation
- Customers can view remote, exotic locations
- Staff can train using the VR headsets
- Attracts more customers to the shop

- VR headsets may not always be available, bookings may have to be made
- Maintenance and training costs
- Staff would have to travel in order to take the film
