What is the scientific method?
A method of proving a statement by the cycle of observation, hypothesis, testing and conclusion
What is the meaning of non-overlapping magisterium?
The idea that there is no overlap between science and religion - they address different ideas and,therefore, should be treated as different entities that are not in conflict
How did Swinburne define miracles?
As ‘impossible’ events that change how we understand natural laws to work
How did Hume critique miracles?
He considered belief in miracles to be irrational because of the high improbability and lack of evidence of miracles occurring. He developed four a posteriori (from experience) reasons for why there is inadequate evidence of miracles

A theory posited by Charles Darwin that species have experienced the gradual process of natural selection as they have experienced mutations which have causes small changes which are genetically advantageous
What is creationism?
The rejection of any scientific theories which contradict the content of the bible, and the belief that the account of creation as contained with genesis is WHOLLY ACCURATE
How might a religious person accept evolution?
Some religious people accept evolution as a result of intelligent design and believe that if it is a process made by god, and, therefore, does not conflict with their faith
What is irreducible complexity?
An idea posted by Micheal Behe, who argues that the world is entirely too complex to have happened as a result of chaos and, therefore, needs to be explained by an intelligent design
