6112B Flashcards
Cross-ship manifold and internal wing plumbing is rated at
60psi
3-inch ar manifold is rated at? Proofed psi? and burst psi?
120PSI….240psi proof….260psi burst
Fusetank ar pumps are rated at
300 gpm at 90psi with a deadhead pump output pressure of 118psi
fuseable elements cease fuse tank ar motor at?
375F to 400F
When on external power how many pumps can you operate?
1 AR pump
AR pumps are disabled when what is on?
The prop ice protection system
AR pod pump is rated at:
up to 300 gpm and 45 plus or minus 10 psi (no flow)
What are the hose markings?
The hose has 1foot white bands every ten feet, with a 5foot band at each end of the 20’ low speed fueling range, and a single 1foot white band at the ar preset trail with alternating red/white 80 feet from hose end
What are the fuel quantities remaining after maximum fuel dumping?
1,520 main tanks……1,008 fuse tank (ar pumps) and 0 in aux, ext and fuse tank (transfer pumps)
WARNING:::if you cant dump fuel from the fuse tank it could result in loss of aircraft
Considerations when hose wont retract if its out?
Length of hose remaining out of ar pod, runway surface and likelihood of snagging hose on landing, location and rigging of the arresting gear, usable runway length, stability of hose and drogue, and location of landing if hose was guillotined
Aerial refueling procedure warnings:
-Dont transmit on hf radios when receiver is in contact or attempting to plug——dont select master power or hyd power off during hose transitions (hose may depart a/c)—-if you let low speed drogues out above 120kts they may depart the a/c reduce speed rapidly
Special considerations IRT fuse tank with less than 20,000lbs of fuel?
If it has less than 20,000lbs of fuel the external tanks must be empty. IF the external tanks are not empty you can only fly straight and level
