- diarrhea
- distention & oppression in the abdomen & stomach duct, lingering abdominal pain
- fever, aversion to cold
- headache

- abdominal pain
- diarrhea
- lack of thirst
- abdominal fullness & vomiting
- inability to hold down food
- cold limbs

Tongue: white, slimy coat
Pulse: deep moderate

Warm center, fortify spleen

There are 2 LESSER YIN (Shao Yin) disease categories:
- Cold Transformation
- Heat Transformation
LESSER YIN (shao yin) disease cold transformation Tongue & pulse:
Tongue: pale, lilac, wet, white coat
Pulse: fine minute, on the verge of expiry
LESSER YIN (shao yin) disease cold transformation s/sx
- no heat effusion but aversion to cold
- reversal cold of the limbs
- clear food diarrhea
- desire only to sleep
- retching but inability to eat or vomiting immediately upon ingesting food

Pulse: FINE RAPID

- Heart Vexation & insomnia (yin is deficient so yang cant be subdued @ night)
- Dry mouth & throat (yin deficiency implies deficiency of body fluids → soooo there is dry mouth & throat…even dry skin & eyes)

Nourish yin and clear heat
REVERTING YIN disease s/sx
- wasting-thirtst
- Qi rushing upward to the heart
- pain & heat within the heart
- hunger with no desire to eat
- vomiting of roundworms after eating
- reversal cold off the limbs
- alternating heat & cold*

Pulse: Small & Frail

Tongue: pale, white & glossy coat (wet) - swollen
Pulse: deep & slow

Tongue: Red, slimy yellow coat (swollen)
Pulse: Rapid slippery OR rapid & wiry
DAMP HEAT JAUNDICE s/sx
- bright, more tangerine yellow in sclera, skin tone & urine
- SWEAT
- There is glomus that leads to pain
- CONSTIPATION
- interior, heat, repletion
DAMP HEAT JAUNDICE etiology
Cold & damp in the Greater yin
LESSER YIN with an EXTERIOR pattern s/sx
- Fever
- Aversion to cold
- Headache
- Lack of sweat
- Cold feet
LESSER YIN with an EXTERIOR pattern: tongue & pulse
Tongue: pale, thin, white coat
Pulse: deep

Warm the interior, out-thrust the exterior
