Q

take on them

A

in terms of disease eradication - TNCs play a large part
- set up In countries where their is access to certain raw materials and manufacturing is made more efficient and cheaper - EDCS
- GSK - lagers pharmesutical company GLOBALLY - develop drugs then sell to national health services making a large amount of money
- partner with WHO to tackle CDS as WHO dont have the money to do so on their own - bring sup ethical issues as on one hand these companies do want to help save lives and have been seen doing this HOWEVER they have shareholders who demand big profits
- the investment required to explores for new drugs I costly and slow - takes time and money which no NGO can afford to do so on their own
- therefore these TNCs are bale to control trade, distribution and price of the drugs to an extent - national gov are Abe to regulate these companies so they also can have control in the matter
