5.3 - cybersecurity ๐ก Flashcards
how can passwords be made more secure against brute force attacks?
by ensuring theyโre not included in the lists of most common passwords while also strengthening word lists that could be used in such attacks w/ a wider variety of characters to ensure itโd take very long to crack your password
what methods of data interception are there and how do they work?
packet sniffing (involves data packet examination over a network) and wardriving (involves intercepting connections from another place via a device-antenna-GPS combo)
what type of protocol can help prevent intercepted data from being comprehensible to the hacker?
WEP - it should then be combined w/ a firewall for maximum encryption
