A
The diverse characteristics that contribute towards the identity of an individual and the development/maintenence/treatment of the presenting problem or diagnosis. These elements can include gender, ethnicity, race, etc (think ADDRESSING Model), as well as level of motivation, perceptions and commitment to therapy, and integration of concepts into everyday life.
