Well, I’m kind of an introverted [ˈintrəˌvərdəd] person so I do not tend to share my stories with others. The only person I fully trust to confide [kən’faid] in is my best friend from secondary school.

At my first year in university, I was a little bored with the major that I had been studying, because it was not exactly what I had signed up for at first. I meant to apply for the computer science, but unfortunately I did not have a high enough score and, therefore, physics was my second choice. A lot of thoughts crossed my mind at that time, like this major was not really my thing, I would not be able to make it and similar negative feelings.

I was really depressed and turned to for help. We had a conversation and she helped me analyze my interests, personality, strengths and weaknesses, which allowed me to reach a decision by myself. As a result, I kept studying my major and made time for learning computer science by myself.

Now, I’m a PhD student at university, I am happy with my decision, thanks to her. She really is my best friend, always stays by my side and never turns her back on me, and I treasure our friendship a lot.
