This is achieved when a composition focuses on
one idea. It provides the readers a structural
framework that will guide them on what to have in
a text.
Organization
means sticking or holding together,
ideas are connected at idea or conceptual level
Coherence
expresses the
continuity that exists between one part of the text to another.
Cohesion
explains
the sequence of events, useful
in narration. commonly uses
the transition words “first,”
“next,” “by noon.”
Chronological order
describing a
place, person, or thing. Details
are arranged through
movement in space or physical
positions, or relationships.
Spatial order
arranges
details from specific to general,
providing support then drawing
conclusions from it.
Inductive order
overall
discussion of the subject then
fills in details, facts, examples
and other supporting details.
Deductive order
this is to focus on
the main idea by repeating a
word or a phrase to emphasize
its significance in the entire
text.
Repetitive
it is to use words
with similar meaning in the
sentence. This keeps you
mindful of the connection
between sentences.
Synonyms
these are words that
connect readers to the specific
noun mentioned earlier in the
text.
Pronouns
These are words
that connect one idea to
another in order for our ideas to
flow smoothly.
Transitions
is one of the clearest indicators of a well-written
text. Effective use of the language enables the writer to effectively
communicate ideas without confusing the readers. This can be achieved by
observing the following time-tested principles in writing.
Language Use
Tips in effective language use:
Use clear and concise sentences, avoid redundancies, wordiness, and complicated language. Avoid excessive use of they and it structures. Use precise vocabulary, be consistent with your pronoun’s point of view, Appropriate level or formality.
This is also known as the technical aspect in writing. It is characterized as a
set of conventions on how to spell, abbreviate, punctuate, and capitalize a
composition.
