Steps in Counterstrain
A
- Find the most significant TP
- Establish a pain scale
- Monitor the point for tenderness and tissue texture changes
- Place the pt passively in a position that results in the greatest ⬇︎ in tenderness and tissue texture changes.
- Maintain for 90 seconds
- Slowly return to neutral
- Reassess
