Sour SE
goes to nerves and can upset liver, use sparingly if pt suffers from chronic pain
Bitter SE
bitter goes to bone, avoid if patient had OP or bone dz
Sweet SE
goes to muscles and excess can cause weak muscles,
Pungent SE
Scatters qi and should be avoided in qi xu
Salty SE
can dry blood and should be avoided in blood xu
