5 Cardio Flashcards
Blood pumped per contraction
70 mL
Fibrous skeleton of heart function
Anchors heart valves, prevents support to prevent from stretching
Gives attachment of myocardium of ventricles and atria
Fibrous skeleton consists of
4 fibrous rings
2 fibrous triangle-structures connecting the rings
Membranous part of interventricular septum
Day 18 primitive heart tube development
In epiblast: progenitor heart cells form
Via primitive streak-> go to cardiogenic area in mesoderm
Day 20 development of primitive heart tube
Progenitor heart cells form 2 cardiogenic cords
These develop a lumen
Then form 2 endocardial tubes
Day 21 development of primitive heart tube
By folding of embryo-> endocardial tubes migrate together
Fuse and form primitive heart tube on day 22
